Despite the quite demanding schedule, I managed to read some very interesting books. And decided to give you the chance to read them (and some others), too.
Kathmandu. Busy, chaotic capital of Nepal. Spent more time here than planned. But had a good time!
After the relaxed days in Pokhara it was time for some action! You can do a lot of things here in Nepal: Rafting, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, canyoning. What did we choose?
After two weeks of hiking it was time for some relaxed time in Pokhara: Sunny warm weather, a lot of good food, and a shave.
Trekking it should be. Trekking it was. A two weeks trek took us around Manaslu, the eight highest mountain in the world!
Last stop in Borneo was Sandakan, where we took a three day trip to the Kinabatangan river which is famous for it’s remarkable wildlife and fascinating habitats.
After the awesome snorkeling on the Perhentians I decided to try Pati’s recommendation. And booked a diving course at Mabul together with Stephen. It was hard but now I am a certified PADI Open Water Diver :-)
Big caves and karst formations in an equatorial rainforest! Tour to the Pinnacles and into the Garden of Eden. Wildlife spotting. And a bat exodus. Epic.
First stop in Borneo was Kuching, where I decided to speed up a bit. Which left me one day to discover the Bako National Park!
