After sorting things out in KL I went for a few days to Melaka. An old town with a lot of history where I had a very good time. And met inspiring people!

Well, KL. A big city. However, it was a necessary stop that get some things sorted out: Book a flight to Nepal. Planning the time until my flight to Nepal. Getting laundry done ;-)

Next stop on my way south was Lake Chini. With basically unlimited tea, good food and a fantastic book I had two very nice and relaxed days there.

I am often left with a big speechless surprise. Astonished by the unbelievable amount of friendliness and helpfulness of the local people. Smiling faces and waving hands wherever I look. People seem to be competing in “going the extra mile” to help me.

After the heat in Penang it was great to arrive at the Cameron Highlands. Where the temperature is much more chilly. Not more than 25°C during the day and down to 16°C at night. Very refreshing!

After some contemplation I decided, that my last visit to Malaysia was not long enough and that I should give this country a second chance. And started with a visit of George Town/Penang. A food paradise, where I have had a great time!
