Originally I had planned to visit the Railay beach before heading south to Ko Phi Phi and further on to Malaysia. But Ai and Vivi (both from the the Good Dream Guesthouse<\/a>) were going to Ko Phi Phi for two days. And asked if I would like to join. So I spontaneously decided to change plans, packed my stuff and we left for the world known island of Ko Phi Phi.<\/p>\n

After a few hours on the ferry we arrived. And I was shocked. Hordes of tourist were escaping from several boats. The little village was more than bustling. Crowded with tourists. A lot of them stripped to the waist (guys) or in bikinis (girls). Who wants to see that, when not at a beach\/pool? Especially in a country, where the locals often go bathing fully dressed. Quite a lot of the hordes were drunk, carrying buckets of alcohol through the streets. OMG, where had I stranded? And this is low(!) season. I don’t want to know how it is here during high season.<\/p>\n

However, I was lucky. ‘Cause I was traveling with Ai and Vivi. Who had booked a room ahead, so the first problem was solved. And the two are the party(!) girls of Good Dream<\/a>. They actually managed to convince me for an evening of partying at one of the beach clubs. Some guys were showing an impressive fire show. Great to watch! And despite the fact that the club was playing extremely loud electronic music I had fun! Thanks to Ai and Vivi for the motivating and the good vibes! Unbelievable!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next day, we joined a trip to Phi Phi Leh, the smaller and unpopulated island south of Ko Phi Phi. Weather was beautiful and the colors of rocks and water amazing. First stop was at the lagoon of Phi Phi Leh, which we could explore with kayaks. Then it was time for some great snorkeling, before we headed off to Maya Bay, also known as “The Beach<\/a>“. A beautiful spot. Crowded again. I know, I am a tourist, too. But this trip to Ko Phi Phi showed the consequences of mass tourism. Personally I think, it’s a shame, that a (quite bad) movie somehow ruined this little paradise on earth. And no, I would not mind, that I would not have been here without the film. Then it would still be a hidden spot for those who know. However, it was still a nice trip, much to both Ai and Vivi, who are just spreading good vibes around them :-) And the beauty of nature somehow withstands all the tourists and still shines (yeah!). We had dinner on the boat, watching the sunset over the sea before we headed back to the main island. Where we had a beer at the pier ;-)<\/p>\n

Thanks Ai and Vivi for taking me on this trip! For the great party night! First dancing in months (whoop whoop!). For joining the trip around Phi Phi Leh! For all the fun you two spread around you! Enjoyed your company a lot!\u00a0Kob Khun Krap!<\/strong><\/p>\n
