Colonia del Sacramento – Happiness!

On the way to Montevideo I stopped in the beautiful town of Colonia del Sacramento. The oldest town in Uruguay, founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and a colonial beauty: Cobblestone streets, a lot of colorful renovated buildings, lovely plazas, no cars in the historic part of the town, a lot of trees and palms. All surrounded by the estuary of the Rio de la Plata.

Beautiful tree.

Had a good lunch at the riverside. A beer at noon is not the worst thing to have ;-) After strolling the streets for a while I found a lovely cafe. Sitting in the bright sunlight with a delicious Arabic tea was one of these magic moments of this trip: All worries faded away… and only an overwhelming and deep feeling of joy and happiness remained. Gratitude for all the awesome people I was allowed to meet on this trip. Magical places I could visit. Amazing friends and family I have back home. Sometimes it is hard to believe how good life can be.

Hope you are all doing well! Sending out love and happiness to all of you!
