Lima – Perfect Christmas!

Due to heavy snow fall back in Germany Elli got stuck in Madrid. First it looked like I had to spent Christmas alone because the next free seat form Madrid to Lima was on the 26th of December. But luckily Elli managed to get a flight December 23rd. And I got my perfect Christmas present! Yeah! Man I was happy!

Lovely girl.

As Ellis luggage took some more time to arrive in Lima we stayed in the Hitchhikers hostel over Christmas. We started the first evening with some good pizza and pasta and Pisco sour! After getting out of bed very late ;-) on Christmas Eve, we visited the historic center of Lima, had a late lunch at La T’anta, one of the restaurants of star chef Gastón Acurio Jaramillo. After having some Pisco Sours again at the evening we celebrated Christmas back in the Hostel.

Still waiting for Ellis backpack we went to the seaside the next day, enjoyed the view on the ocean, the sea breeze, and a good coffee in the big shopping center Larcomar. Back at the hostel the backpack was still not delivered so we went to the airport and after some hours Elli got her luggage. Yeah! We celebrated this joyful event with some Pisco Sours in the Huaringas Bar. Hmmmm. Tasty, tasty. I love Pisco Sour. Thanks Esther for the tip.

Plaza San Martin at night. Here we had some Pisco Sours.

All in all (well Ellis visit accounts for 95%, the remaining 5% are the Pisco Sours) a perfect Christmas. Sunny greetings
Michael
