Borderland Resort – Canyoning!

After the relaxed days in Pokhara it was time for some action! So we booked a two days trip to the Borderland Resort. Which is located in a beautiful mountain scenery close to the Tibetan border. You can do a lot of things there: Rafting, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, canyoning. What did we choose? Not to hard to guess, eh? It maybe helps if I tell you, that one activity actually means abseiling through waterfalls.

It is wet, wet, wet.
It is wet, wet, wet.

So that’s what we did for two days. The first day was kind of an introductory day. Getting to know all the stuff like harness and karabiners. And learning to trust the rope. I deeply regretted that I did not take all the offers from Verena, Silja, Arne and Christoph to introduce me to climbing. Guess I would have known than, that it is entirely useless to cling on the rope with your left hand. It just gives you some muscle ache the next day.

Yeah!
Yeah!

Anyhow, we were prepared for the second day. Were the waterfalls were even bigger. The biggest one was actually more than forty meters. In the middle I could neither see the guide above nor the one at the bottom anymore. Just me and a lot of water. Kind of scary. But it is A LOT of fun. Especially for a waterfall lover :-)

It's me going down.
It’s me going down.

Prim & Bobby: Thanks for your great explanations. For fixing the ropes and not letting me fall down. I felt totally safe the whole time! And I had sooo much fun in the water!

Yeah. Yeah. YEAH!
Yeah. Yeah. YEAH!

The rest of the time we spent at the wonderful Boderland resort with very good food, best sunshine weather and just a lovely atmosphere. Very relaxing.

Relaxing at the tranquil resort.

Wet greetings
