Last stop in Borneo was Sandakan, where we took a three day trip to the Kinabatangan river which is famous for it’s remarkable wildlife and fascinating habitats.

After the awesome snorkeling on the Perhentians I decided to try Pati’s recommendation. And booked a diving course at Mabul together with Stephen. It was hard but now I am a certified PADI Open Water Diver :-)

10 CommentsWell, KL. A big city. However, it was a necessary stop that get some things sorted out: Book a flight to Nepal. Planning the time until my flight to Nepal. Getting laundry done ;-)

2 CommentsNext stop on my way south was Lake Chini. With basically unlimited tea, good food and a fantastic book I had two very nice and relaxed days there.

4 CommentsAfter the heat in Penang it was great to arrive at the Cameron Highlands. Where the temperature is much more chilly. Not more than 25°C during the day and down to 16°C at night. Very refreshing!
Leave a CommentAfter some contemplation I decided, that my last visit to Malaysia was not long enough and that I should give this country a second chance. And started with a visit of George Town/Penang. A food paradise, where I have had a great time!
