Finally, I managed to book my flights for the next big stops on this trip. Will go to Borneo in a few days before flying…
2 CommentsNext stop on my way south was Lake Chini. With basically unlimited tea, good food and a fantastic book I had two very nice and relaxed days there.
Leave a CommentI am often left with a big speechless surprise. Astonished by the unbelievable amount of friendliness and helpfulness of the local people. Smiling faces and waving hands wherever I look. People seem to be competing in “going the extra mile” to help me.
12 CommentsThe Perhentians. S N O R K E L I N G! And a lot of fun!
4 CommentsAfter the heat in Penang it was great to arrive at the Cameron Highlands. Where the temperature is much more chilly. Not more than 25°C during the day and down to 16°C at night. Very refreshing!
Leave a CommentAfter some contemplation I decided, that my last visit to Malaysia was not long enough and that I should give this country a second chance. And started with a visit of George Town/Penang. A food paradise, where I have had a great time!
5 CommentsI have been quite bad at responding to mails or chatting during the last weeks. Nevertheless, that does not mean, that I don’t think a lot of you! Miss you all!
Leave a CommentWow, what a great time I have had in Krabi. I have not seen too much of Thailand so far, nevertheless I think, that Krabi really is Thailand at it’s best!
7 CommentsAi and Vivi asked if I would like to join a trip of them to Phi Phi. So I packed my stuff and we left for the world known island of Ko Phi Phi.
8 CommentsI decided to rent a scooter and explore a part of the Krabi mainland region. Which was a lot of fun, especially on the rural roads. Got great views from the Tiger Cave Temple and a soothing bath in the Hot Spring Waterfall.
5 CommentsAfter weeks of physical laziness I was ready for some sport. So I booked a full day kayaking tour around (and inside) Ao Thalane. It is a peninsular with huge karst rocks and mangroves along the open sea.
6 CommentsRound about 200 islands are scattered around the Krabi coastline. White sandy beaches, palms, turquoise blue water, and impressive limestone rock formations. Postcard scenery all around.
2 CommentsI had two relaxed weeks in Kanchanaburi. Learned a lot about the Asian war theater in World War II. Went to the seven tiered Erawan waterfall and spent an amazing time with elephants. Basically, I got back on track again :-)
18 CommentsThe flight was booked, so it was time to leave for the second part of this trip… Asia, with start in Bangkok.
8 CommentsI spontaneously decided to pit stop back home. Thanks to everybody who contributed in making these five weeks so fantastic! Got so much love and joy! Thanks, thanks, thanks!
4 CommentsI asked for your help. And you helped! How great! In total 2000 € will reach the Bolivian children. Thanks a lot to everybody who followed my call for help and donated! Muchas gracias a todos!
Leave a CommentFinally it was time to leave South America. I left with one eye laughing, one eye crying.
8 CommentsI spent my last days in Uruguay in Punta del Diablo and Cabo Polonio, two beautiful spots at the sea side of Uruguay.
